In Active projects

On 14 and 15 October 2026, on the occasion of Erasmus Days, Xena hosted the annual meeting of the More Citizenship Network in Padua. The network, led by the Portuguese association Mais Cidadania, brings together European organisations committed to promoting European citizenship, intercultural dialogue, inclusion and active participation in society. The meeting brought together participants from Portugal, Slovenia, Greece, Lithuania, North Macedonia and Germany, providing a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences and strengthen international cooperation. The activities took place at Casa della Rampa and Casa di Quartiere Arcella, both venues hosting networks of local associations to which Xena belongs. These spaces provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of local cooperation, community engagement and collaboration between organisations. On 14 October, Xena organised a welcome aperitif attended by the meeting participants, European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteers based in Padua, mentors and other members of the association. On 15 October, the programme continued with a study visit to the offices of Progetto Giovani, the Youth Office of the Municipality of Padua, located at the San Gaetano Cultural Centre. The visit gave participants the opportunity to learn more about the activities and services available to young people and to explore the role of youth policies and participation spaces in promoting active citizenship, inclusion and intercultural dialogue. Xena coordinated and hosted the initiative thanks to the contribution of colleagues Serena and Ludovica, reaffirming its commitment to building bridges between organisations, young people and European communities.
